Taipei, Taiwan 2015 Day 2

26th August 2015

Started off our morning with traditional Taiwanese breakfast of fried dough fritters and soy bean milk. Yums! 😀

Just do a quick Google Map search for 永和豆浆 and you will be able to find a branch near you.

After that we took a train to Xiangshan station in an attempt to climb Elephant Mountain (象山).

Directions: After arriving at Xiangshan station (象山), the terminus of Red Line 2, leave from Exit 2 and continue walking alongside the edge of the park. At the end of this road, take a left and follow until the entrance for Xiangshan Hiking Trail (象山登山步道), total 650 metres, around 20 mins.

Unfortunately K wasn’t feeling too well at the foot of the mountain, so we had to rest at a nearby platform.

When she was feeling well enough to walk, we took a taxi back to our hotel. Just as we alighted from the taxi, K puked. 😦 Poor girl. We still aren’t sure what caused her to be ill.

K rested at the hotel while the rest of us went out to grab lunch and some shopping!

This is a must-try at 士林夜市. Cheese Potato shop at the corner of the night market. So damn good! 😀

Summed up the day with a page of my scrappy travel book.

Will update day 3 soon! 🙂
